The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, demonstrating a commitment to meeting stringent deadlines without compromising on safety.
As a key player in the maintenance team, the new engineer will work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, fostering a collaborative partnership with the mechanical engineers on shift to ensure seamless operations. This structure offers a balanced work-life rhythm, allowing for concentrated work periods followed by ample time to recharge.
Candidates must bring a proven track record in medium to heavy manufacturing environments, showcasing their adeptness in navigating the unique challenges such industries present. A strong electrical background is essential, with hands-on experience in both PPM and emergency breakdown scenarios.
The role demands a meticulous approach to maintenance, underpinned by a solid understanding of electrical systems. A keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving will be key assets. The ability to work harmoniously alongside mechanical counterparts is crucial, ensuring a cohesive unit that upholds the highest standards of maintenance and efficiency.

Duties of this Maintenance Engineers Role:
- Provide an Electrical engineering service to the production team to achieve minimal down time
- Proactive for carrying out planned maintenance duties
- Insuring you are commercially aware of budgets to ensure there is the right amount of spares
- Look at ways to continuously improve efficiencies and downtime
- Collect and compile all data as requested
- To encourage and motivate apprentices and offer assistance.
- Must hold a recognised Level 3 Engineering Qualification.
- Experience within a fast paced environment
- Experience in a medium or heavy industry is preferable.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines & under pressure.
- Salary £50,300 (including shift allowance)
- 4 on 4 off off shift pattern
- Paid over time available
- 21 days holiday plus bank holidays,
- Free on-site parking
