An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established family run haulage business in Carlisle as a Workshop Foreman - HGV Mechanic.

This is a stereotypical family run business where everyone mucks in, working in an honest and open environment, you can expect to have a down to earth chat with every member of staff, regardless of position. Your key responsibilities will include coordinating the maintenance activities whilst offering technical support to staff and clients. This role would suit someone looking for a slower pace of work, managing a team of 2 technicians where the workload isn't too hectic

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Routine Vehicle Maintenance to VOSA Standards
  • Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for MOT Inspections
  • Diagnosing of vehicle diagnostic equipment
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed and in order
  • Good Housekeeping and H&S

Qualifications and Experience required:
  • Senior commercial technician with experience of man management or a senior technician looking to progress into a foreman role
  • Qualified City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or Equivalent
  • A self starter with excellent administration skills
  • A motivated team player with demonstrable experience of working to deadlines
  • Computer Literate

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm

Salary from £40k - 60k depending on experience
