Product Information (PI) is the beating heart of our business. As a department we are responsible for the delivery of coherent and timely Product Specification and Bill of Materials in line with Programme timing.
As part of the current global limitations of Semiconductor availability JLR is redefining the way it manages Semiconductors and as such, we are looking to grow our team to support the improved ways of working. As Semiconductor BoM Engineer, you'll be responsible for helping to understand and deliver the creation and adherence of new processes to refine Semiconductor BoM Management within the 3DExperience Toolset.
Providing support to our Engineering teams in the Engineering development. This exciting and equally stimulating role offers the opportunity to join a critical area within the business.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Apply and maintain the configuration of the SemiConductor BoM
- Work on new processes and improvement of existing ones to support Semiconductors Change Management and Production Release
- Manage your own Workload from start to finish by identifying and supporting the release of components into the BoM
- Work in partnership with Engineering Release Specialists to understand impacts and eventual changes on the affected parts - Be the focal point for a specific parts commodity
- Liaise and Interact with Key partners across the Business: Engineering Operations, D&R, Purchasing, Forecasting and Vehicle Programme
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Strong and organised Communicator being able to support several teams inside the company
- Experience with BoM - Either releasing parts or any other specific task
- Data analysis - Comfortable on handling data and being able to work with different sets of data coming from several sources (MS Excel, Cloud databases, Tableau)
- Agile mindset and basic experience on related tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- 3Dx knowledge
