Our client has a team of over 130 people in offices in Belfast, Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bristol and Dublin and have been established for over 30 years.

Due to continued growth our client has a new and exciting opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their dynamic, busy and well established Manchester team. The successful candidate will be able to tap into my client's commercially strong client list and work on a range of high end developments, both on residential and commercial sites throughout the city - the role promises to be exciting and fast paced

 

The type of work the successful candidate will be involved in will include

Pre-Acquisition and Vendor Due Diligence consultancy

Project Monitoring and new development consultancy

Contract Administration on projects from £50,000-£1.5m

Dilapidation instructions for both landlord and tenant

Planned Maintenance programmes.

 

What my client is looking for

An enthusiastic and proactive Chartered Surveyor who is commercial, yet technically sound with a combination of commerciality and expertise. 

You should have had exposure to a broad spectrum of services including project management, contract administration, due diligence surveys, development/project monitoring and dilapidations. 

This is a hands on role and although all instructions are director led you will be expected to work independently and eventually run projects with minimum input. 

The role will require instant, or increasing client facing duties. 

 

Duties will include

Providing clear and concise information to clients, dealing with defects and providing professional advice on the best way forward. 

Produce written reports, to be relied upon by clients, for pre-acquisition to rectification works

Produce technical specifications

Undertake the role of contract administrator on a variety of projects, including financial forecasting, issuing of contract certificates and advising on appropriate procurement routes.
