    We are looking for a Specialty Doctor to join us at the purpose built Mother and Baby Unit in the Eastern region (for Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Norfolk and Suffolk) The role includes a focus on MBU Outreach activities for patients in advance of admission, during admission and facilitating a seamless reintegration in to the community post discharge.

    The MBU Outreach Service is integrated with community perinatal mental health services across the region. This enables support for women in the community (particularly in Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk).

    Main duties of the job

    We invite applications for doctors from different specialty backgrounds as long as imbued with a passion for the perinatal and post natal period. Relevant experience varies widely as the work encompasses the biological and immunological, forensic, psychotherapeutic (individual, systemic and parent-infant) as well as social worlds.

    Responsibilities include

  • Providing medical treatment within a model of multi-disciplinary care
Supporting prescribing of medication Physical health monitoring Preparing clinical reports Liaising with other clinical teams within and outside the Trust
