Estimator, Taunton, £45,000

Purpose

As the Estimator, you will use produce quotations and provide planning for a fabrication / metal work company.

If you can read engineering drawings and possess skills transferable to estimating/planning roles, training is available if you are not currently in an Estimating position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers on estimates for new and repeat projects.
  • Implement efficient manufacturing methods and processes.
  • Provide accurate lead-times for each quote.
  • Identify and manage tooling requirements for new parts.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and shopfloor teams as needed.
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers as required.
  • Support planning, production, and quality teams with methods, costing, and information.

Requirements

  • Previous estimating/planning experience is ideal.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
