London, United Kingdom Boston Consulting Group Full time
WHAT YOU'LL DO
BCGâs Knowledge Team (KT) is one of the key pillars of BCGâs practice businesses, driving consulting case team support and topic/sector IP development within our global practice teams. The organization has embarked on an Agile transformation to change the way Knowledge Teams work and contribute to the firmâs priorities. BCGâs KT consists of approximately 80 teams that are unique in their own ways, have different geographic, capability, and leadership footprints, take on different forms of work, and interact with a multitude of internal stakeholders. Our plan is to scale these new Agile ways of working across these teams. We have recently embarked on this journey and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape how we design and scale the Agile program for the organization.

Agile Coaches are change agents with a passion for coaching and empowering teams. As an experienced coach, ultimately you will work across teams and practice areas, comprised of multiple team members and stakeholders to help build and reinforce the Agile mindset and to embed Agile principles in the day to day work. You will help organization leadership in designing, tailoring and scaling the Agile ways of working to the organization and its evolving strategic focus and fit. Your work will also include ensuring strong and dynamic cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders including Practice, Topic and Sector leadership, establishing the MVP mindset and approach, supporting prioritization using value-focused KPIâs, etc.

As a coach, you will be a thought partner to the KT Leaders and Managers and the senior practice and topic/sector leaders leading the squads. You will support Scrum Masters & Product Owners across Squads, helping them identifying solutions to obstacles as they arise. You will regularly assess the organization's Agile maturity, help strengthen Agile practices and playbook, and be a champion for Agile culture and behaviors, promoting ânew ways of workingâ and Agile principles and practices both at the program level and in your squads.

As a Junior Agile Coach, you will:
  • Design, tailor, and scale Agile ways of working
  • Refine the continuing design of the Agile program for KT
  • Define the practices, processes, and tools to support new ways of working
  • Identify patterns and parameters across teams that warrant adjustments to ways of working

  • Owning maturity assessments and results to develop coaching plans
  • Engaging with KT and Topic leadership and individual Squad members to identify opportunities to improve Agile performance
  • Providing training and resources to equip Squad members with management practices to enhance their Agile maturity

  • Help Squads manage stakeholders, articulate blockers & develop responses
  • Enable individuals and groups to apply a wide range of Teaming Tools and Techniques, including but not limited to Agile, Psychological safety, Digital collaboration

Enable the performance and continuous improvement of Squads, supporting the realization of their mission and delivery of their KPIs
  • Being an agent of change across the organization
  • Helping to anticipate and resolve potential blockers
  • Ensuring that Squads are interacting with dependent stakeholders effectively (e.g., with Senior Leadership, Topic Leads and Product Owners)
  • Enabling and advising on the continuous improvement of squad operation
  • Coaching leadership to get value from Agile ceremonies

Support Practice, Topic and Sector leadership in managing and coordinating the Quarterly and Annual Business Review cycles
  • Ensuring collaboration is achieved and that key stakeholders are engaging as needed
  • Act as liaison between the KT organization, Practice/Topic and Sector leadership and the Squads
  • Supporting the KT strategic Agenda and engaging with key stakeholders in driving talent development, performance and satisfaction
  • Improving and refining Agile Playbook and bringing improvements back to the squads
  • Supporting the continuous improvement and development of best practices in interaction model between the squads, leadership and other stakeholders

Enable the Organizationâs new ways of working
  • Modeling behaviors to support the organizationâs transformation to a new way of working
  • Assessing senior leaders in adopting agile ways of working
  • Curating a culture supportive of continued L&D, transparency and empowerment
  • Team with the KT Change & Communications and Learning & Development Managers among others

YOU'RE GOOD AT
  • Adopting an agile mindset and spreading your passion for agile values amongst skeptics
  • Being an agile role model: you work collaboratively, you show courage, you take responsibility, you have confidence, you speak out, you are creative, and you amplify
  • Communicating with senior stakeholders and diverse teams, being credible and proactive, understanding group dynamics and driving change
  • Collecting, analyzing, and presenting qualitative & quantitative information
  • Understanding, structuring, and clearly presenting complex problems
  • Managing work in a highly dynamic environment with concurrent & competing priorities
  • Excelling in commitment and integrity and being therefore a trusted person for the team
  • Having a "do it, try it, fix it" mentality and you ask that of others
  • Knowing how to quickly master a new environment
  • Interacting with others with excellent people management skills: listening, motivating, observing, giving and receiving feedback help individuals and teams grow

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • +7 years of total related experience including
