Your Role as Assistant Estimator:
  • Support Estimation Team: Assist in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates.
  • Analyse Documentation: Review blueprints, specifications, and other documents.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Client Engagement: Liaise with clients at the early engagement stage, advising on compliance and project requirements.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop good working relationships with the Estimating Team.
  • Prepare budget costs for construction projects.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the estimating team.
  • Assist with tender submissions and resolve cost differences.
  • Coordinate meetings with clients, the delivery team, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor construction processes and research prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure project costs stay within forecasts and escalate issues to the Estimating Manager.
 
Who You Are:
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in estimating or construction projects, ideally within passive fireproofing.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects efficiently.
