TGRC is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Commissioning Supervisor to lead the commissioning activities for onshore wind projects based in North Wales. This is a contract position ideal for professionals passionate about contributing to renewable energy solutions and infrastructure.

Role Overview

The Commissioning Supervisor will be integral in managing the commissioning phase of our onshore wind projects. This role demands a high level of expertise in wind turbine installation, operation, and maintenance. The successful candidate will ensure that all project aspects comply with technical standards, are delivered on time, and adhere to strict safety protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee the commissioning process for onshore wind projects in North Wales.

  • Collaborate with project management teams to ensure a cohesive approach to installation and commissioning.

  • Enforce compliance with health and safety standards throughout the commissioning stages.

  • Perform and supervise tests to validate the functionality of wind turbines and related equipment.

  • Identify, diagnose, and rectify any operational issues during the commissioning phase.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive records of commissioning activities.

  • Train and support operational staff following project commissioning.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience as a Commissioning Supervisor, specifically in the wind energy sector.

  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of wind turbines.

  • Strong leadership qualities and excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • Capable of managing complex projects under demanding timelines.

  • A degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Contract Details
  • Location: North Wales

  • Contract Duration: 12 months

  • Day Rate: £500 per day
