Royal London has an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join the Engineering Platform Services team and be part of enabling Royal London's cloud strategy to drive it forwards by providing accelerators and education.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and operation of software through tools, environments, and practices. This will include managing and integrating tools for automated CI/CD pipelines and playbooks for configuration and operation of environments.
About the role
- Delivers automated software components that form part of a development operations toolchain.
- Transform technical requirements into DevOps processes.
- Maintaining development standards, working, and sharing practices and standards with wider team and community.
- Identify and resolve issues that impact software development, software deployment and service operation.
- Lead the technical ownership, expertise and support of the Royal London DevOps tooling, supporting platforms and tools provided by your team.
About you
- Knowledge and understanding of the application lifecycle.
- Proficient with scripting languages including PowerShell and Bash.
- Experience using Azure DevOps Services
- Knowledge and understanding of Linux is essential.
- Good background in infrastructure and operations is highly beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration and effective engagement with stakeholders within RL and external third parties.
- Strong communication skills, especially verbally and written.
