What you'll do
As a Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for acting as the primary interface between the Finance and product teams. In this role, you will provide crucial support to the product teams by conducting in-depth financial analysis, financial modelling, and challenge processes.

Your main focus will be on ensuring the preparation of reliable and timely financial plans to support various aspects of business planning, pricing decisions, business cases, and ad hoc papers. This will involve providing financial modelling expertise, developing models and best practises to measure the impact of changes to the budgeted balance sheet and P & L positions, and actively participating in Product Management Committees to provide financial support and challenge on current and future business performance and plans.

you will additionally support on the production of the Individual Liquidity Adequacy Assessment (ILAA) and Individual Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) in terms of analysing the financial impact of stress scenarios and supplying commentary for inclusion in the PRA submitted documentation and supporting SLRP or SREP review meetings.

Additionally, you will collaborate with other parts of Finance and Treasury to update capital and liquidity plan forecast models, and act as the primary point of contact within Finance for your product area, sharing business developments and ensuring their financial robustness. Overall, your role will contribute to the strategic decision-making process by providing meaningful financial insights and recommendations.

Who you are
As a Finance Business Partner for Sainsbury's Bank, you are a highly numerate and analytical professional (including heightened Excel skills and ideally Power BI) with a strong focus on providing financial expertise and support to the product teams. Prior experience within financial services (with experience in lending products including credit cards is highly desirable.

Your excellent financial modelling skills and ability to conduct thorough analysis enable you to contribute to strategic and pricing decisions, as well as the preparation of reliable and timely financial plans..

With your strong communication skills, you effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and translate complex financial concepts into easily understandable terms.

As a collaborative team player, you build strong relationships and challenge decisions to ensure the best outcomes. Your well-organized nature allows you to prioritise work effectively, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure. Additionally, your accountancy qualification and practical experience in financial reporting and management accounting or strong financial modelling qualifications and commercial experience demonstrate your expertise in the field.

With a strong customer focus, you play a vital role in supporting the overall financial success of the organisation.
