We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team in Coventry. This role involves preparing financial documents, managing accounts, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and committed to upholding the financial integrity of the business.

Day to day of the role:
Prepare business reports, financial forecasts, and statements to understand the financial state of the business.Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director.Oversee and manage individual accounts.Create, send, and follow up on invoices.Review and adhere to department budgets.Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets.Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensuring all calculations and data entries are correct.Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients.Report any troubling discoveries or suspicion of wrongdoing to the proper authorities.Collect information for and prepare payroll payments for employees.Assist the financial director in creating financial reports on a regular basis.Adhere to the company’s financial policies and procedures.Answer questions and provide assistance to stakeholders, customers, and clients as needed.Attend finance department and company-wide meetings, sometimes assisting with financial reporting to managers and senior executives.Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Proven experience in accounting or a related field.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
