Salary: £22,737 to £23,144 per annum (£11,368 to £ 11,572– pro rata for part time) and entitlement to Saturday Enhancement to working 5 hours 30 minutes for 1 in 2 Saturdays.
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: 18.5 hours per week

Burgess Hill Library is full of friendly staff on hand to welcome you to this modern new library located in the town centre, near the shops.
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and resourceful individual, with excellent digital skills.
You will be the go-to person for customers at the library, providing high quality assistance with their questions and guiding them to other services as needed.
It’s not just about the books We are looking for someone who understands the power of community and the importance of fostering a love for reading in people of all ages. You will have the opportunity to participate in exciting library programmes such as Baby Rhyme Time sessions for parents and babies or Knit and Natter.
Customer service is at the forefront of the library service, as it plays an important role in creating a vibrant and dynamic workplace. It requires flexibility, creativity, and initiative from those who work there. This could mean helping a customer log-on to the library Wi-Fi or a reading recommendation.
The variety of our work means that no two days are the same. We get huge job satisfaction from helping everyone who comes through our doors, and you could too

Monday: 9:00am to 1:30pm
Tuesday: OFF
Wednesday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
