Our market-leading client are require a Mechanical Engineer to join them on a long-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in Satellite projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Involved in the project preparation, operational phases as well as non-project responsibilities
  • Writing processes, plans and procedures for the production of satellites and payloads
  • Support hardware assembly on Satellites as well as supporting the environmental testing
  • Support quality reviews and conduct PFMEA/Root Cause Analysis
  • Involved in the creation of documentation required for production phases e.g. work instructions and procedures

Required Skillsets:

  • Extensive experience working in production of high quality documentation including test specifications, test plans and procedures, AIT Plans etc.
  • Experience with manufacturing techniques such as 5S, root cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Experience working on environmental testing e.g. Vibration, Acoustic, Mass properties, Thermal at subsystem/spacecraft level
  • Good understanding and detailed experience of mechanical systems
  • Experience working with e.g. Solar Array, antennas, deployable, reflectors

Desirable:

  • Experience of payload builds
  • MRP system experience
