Job overview

 

We are currently looking to recruit a motivated and experienced full time Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join our Team. We are a friendly supportive team who are passionate about improving the lives of service users with complex mental health needs.

 

Our team comprises of a multi-disciplinary team. Our team comprises of; Key Workers, psychologists, OT's, Consultant Psychiatrist, Support Worker, Social Workers, Vocational Services and therapy staff. 

The successful applicant will work from our Thornbury base. The team operates from 0900-1700 Monday to Friday. Candidates should be mobile with the facility to move quickly across a large geographical area therefore a car driver with a Vehicle is essential. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. 

We are looking to appoint some highly motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and resourceful individuals with experience and/or an interest in working with service users in a community setting. The Recovery Specialist Practitioner CPN provides interventions as a Key Worker in ensuring high quality, safe and sustainable services within a South Glos. Recovery Services.  Our goal is to help people with mental disorders lead happy and healthy lives in the community and help prevent hospital admissions. The role is challenging as well as rewarding.

Main duties of the job

 

As a Key Worker in the team you will be responsible for a caseload of service users, working within the Your Team, Your Conversation framework to deliver a range of health and social care interventions.

In this integrated team we focus on the delivery of recovery based interventions, and self-management. We are a forward thinking service and have implemented a new way of working with service users.

The teams success is driven by our talented and dedicated team who work together to achieve our goals and objectives.

 

You will have the opportunity to manage a caseload, delivering a diverse range interventions.  We seek to empower service users and carers to actively engage in their recovery journey. You can also expect to receive excellent supervision, and there will be opportunities for career development and training in order to support you in this role.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under pressure at times, and with a desire for innovation.
