We are working in partnership with a well-established engineering company who are recruiting for an ambitious, tenacious, self-reliant, motivated, and fearless International Technical Sales Engineer who can engage and build strong worldwide working relationships. Worldwide travel is an essential part of this role, an excellent opportunity for someone who believes the world is their oyster and is looking to build a career in Technical Sales.
The successful Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer will work partly remote, covering all technical & sales activities mostly in UK & Europe but some further afield.
You will be fully officed based while training is given.
Role Responsibilities.
To identify and assist in the sale of company products to new lapsed & existing clients.
To represent the company to clients in an honest and professional manner.
To boost the long-term viability & profitability of company.
To report on activities in monthly Sales meetings.
To provide short customer visit reports.
To note trends and statistical forecasts.
Introduction of new jobs as agreed on a project-by-project basis.
Supporting Technical Sales as required.
To interact and support with other Sales Team activities.
To proactively boost the profitability of the business
Growing key accounts within the business
Backing up & working with other Sales Team members
Manage and grow existing relationships as well as business development with end-to-end sales responsibilities.
Liaise with various internal departments needed to ensure delivery on time and on budget.
Person Specification
We are looking for a person who Motivated, self-reliant, tenacious, ambitious, enjoys travelling.
Strong B2B relationship builder and can maintain and grow working relationships.
The successful Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer must have an engineering qualification, HNC, HND, or Degree qualified with a desire to work within the electrical industry & an ability to see production-ready solutions to diverse problems.
Will ideally have experience in a technical sales role with second language and travel experience.
A good understanding of electrical switching precision engineering and problem solving.
A good understanding of production engineering essential.
Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable company.
A technical qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree is essential.
Good knowledge and experience of quality systems expected.
Experience selling not necessarily needed for the right candidate.
Full clean driving license & UK/EU passport.
