Management Account/Business Partner - Dundee

Our client, a reputable organisation located in Dundee, is seeking a skilled Management Accountant/Business Partner to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing financial support and analysis to ensure effective decision-making for the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Monitor budget expenditure and provide financial advice to assist in the forecasting process.
  • Provide information and support to stakeholders regarding financial performance and budgeting matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient financial reporting processes.
  • Assist with fund tracking and analysis, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report VAT, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes and systems.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Management Accountant or Business Partner, with a strong understanding of financial processes and analysis.
  • Sound knowledge of VAT regulations and experience in managing VAT processes.
  • Proven skills in fund tracking and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software.
  • A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.

In return, our client offers a competitive salary in the range of 29,040 to 33,180 per year, depending on a 30 hour or 40 hour working week.
