We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Jenner Institute, at the Nuffield Department of Medicine. You will be joining a research program for vaccine development against tuberculosis, and will apply next-generation sequencing techniques to samples from clinical trials. 

You will be responsible for managing your own academic research and administrative activities, this involves small-scale project management, coordinating multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines. You will be independently researching published materials and keeping up to date with relevant literature as well as contributing ideas for new research projects. You will conduct rigorous scientific research to the highest standards of the field-testing hypotheses analysing scientific data from various sources, and reviewing and refining working hypotheses as appropriate. You will also be carrying out collaborative projects with colleagues in partner institutions and research groups. 

To be successful in this role, you will hold a PhD/DPhil (or be close to completion) in immunology, vaccinology, or a related field, along with relevant proven experience in bioinformatic analysis of human data including data from bulk RNA sequencing (RNA-seq), single-cell RNA-seq (scRNA-seq), bulk T cell receptors sequencing (TCR-seq), among others. You will also have experience in human and murine immunology and experience in conducting next-generation sequencing experiments, including bulk RNA-seq, bulk TCR-seq, scRNA-seq, and scATAC-seq. You will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings.
