Musculoskeletal Study Coordinator

About the Role
The post is based within the Bone and Joint Health Group (part of the Blizard Institute’s Centre of Neuroscience, Surgery and Trauma Centre), and will support the aims and objectives of the National Institute for Health and Care Research Barts Biomedical Research Centre Musculoskeletal theme being achieved. The role is to provide a mix of professional administrative and clinical support to the Research Team within Bone & Joint Health (BJH) in QMUL, and the Orthopaedic Research Team within Barts Health NHS Trust Hospital to ensure the smooth coordination and running of clinical trials.
About You
You will have an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject or equivalent professional experience. You will have experience of clinical trials and or health related research including the research approvals process. You will have In-depth understanding of clinical research, clinical governance issues and principles of GCP. You will have excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills and have exceptional ICT proficiency. You will have excellent team working skills, enjoy and thrive working in a busy environment and take a proactive approach in your work. Having an interest in musculoskeletal health will be of an advantage but is not essential.
About the Institute
The Blizard Institute was established in 2003 and is one of six Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL. The Institute comprises approximately 360 staff based in four academic Centres and one Public Engagement Centre, and supports a combined total of c700 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.
