The day to day expectations on the role involve leading a team of land rights specialists, report on programme and project milestones to directors, manage internal and external stakeholders, collate and analyse key data to monitor project deliverable performances. The role is very flexible with remote working options (60/40 split) with regular site visits, client visits and office working days.

The role is ideal for candidates with start to finish land acquisition experience in infrastructure projects, experience in project and contract management when delivering complex land rights projects and significant knowledge of the consenting regimes including Planning Act (2008), Development Consent Order and Compulsory Purchase Order processes.

The Role:

  • Lead a team of Land rights specialists (7 - 8 people) to drive forward the delivery of land rights activities across a portfolio of projects (typically 8-10 projects).
  • Collate, input and analyse key data to monitor performance of project deliverables to time and within budget.
  • Report on programme, key milestone delivery, risk, contract and financial management on a regular basis.
  • Manage internal & external stakeholders, landowners and customer requirements.
  • Very flexible role - 40% onsite and 60% working from home/office based/supplier office visits.


The Person:

  • Experience in start to finish land activities for infrastructure projects.
  • Access land, secure land rights, negotiate compensation settlements.
  • Experienced in providing project and contract management when delivering complex land rights projects.
  • Experience of managing a diverse team of people to deliver a productive and sustainable work environment.
  • Located in or commutable to Birmingham, Leeds, London or Warwick.
