The role reports into the HR Director, UK & Centre within the HR function. It involves developing close working relationships across the UK businesses, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures, and contributing to the overall success of HR strategy. The function seeks to deliver excellence in HR via a collaborative culture; we are dedicated to fostering a workplace that values talent, diversity, and growth and being a trusted advisor to the business. This role is a 12-14 month fixed-term contract to cover a period of absence.

What will you be doing?


Employee Relations:

Provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and fairness.Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and grievance handling.Support and participate in transformation programmes as required, such as restructures, TUPE and system and process integration.Conduct investigations into employee complaints and recommend appropriate actions.


Performance and Welfare:

Support the development of a high-performance culture by supporting and advising managers with goal-setting, conducting performance reviews, and addressing performance issues.Support colleagues and managers with wellbeing and welfare issues, including managing long-term or recurrent sickness, underlying medical conditions, occupational health and income protection.Ensure requirements for reasonable adjustments are responded to and addressed appropriately.Participate in developing and facilitating manager workshops and training sessions on HR-related topics and legislative and regulatory updates.In partnership with the Talent team, provide guidance on professional development and career progression opportunities.


Culture and Engagement:

Research, recommend, develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.Be the primary contact for the colleague survey tool, facilitating the annual Arrow Global group survey and supporting platforms to conduct ad hoc surveys to gather feedback and assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives.Assist in the development, implementation and review of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulation and alignment with the Arrow employer brand.


Business Partnering:

Coordinate with department managers to understand their objectives and challenges and provide HR support in alignment with organizational goals.Review departmental survey results and develop action plans in response to feedback.Work with managers to identify talent gaps, succession planning, and employee development opportunities.Support with recruitment processes, to assess candidate suitability, and contribute to the selection process.


HR Governance and administration:

Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.Support with the preparation and issuing of HR documentation.Advise on HR policies and procedures.Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.Ensure compliance with local employment laws, company policies and regulations.Generate reports and analytics to support HR decision-making.


Required Skills & Experience:

Excellent attention to detail and accurate and highly organised, and able to multitask.Proficient using technology and leveraging digital applications and platforms such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Office 365.Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to build credible relationships across all levels of the organisation.Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practice, ideally within a Financial services and or regulated business.Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD qualification preferred.
