We are looking for a tenacious and dependable Operations Manager to ensure the smooth runningof the Sanctuary, whilst also achieving our strategic goals and meeting the needs of our animals,staff, volunteers and visitors .

Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum dependent upon experienceLocation: Long Ashton, Bristol, Southwest England (BS48)Working Hours: 40 hours per week (will include some weekend work)
As Operations Manager you would oversee a dedicated team of personnel engaged in the welfare of ourAnimals, with the primary objective to ensure the effective running of the facility, delivering, staff andvisitor satisfaction, health & safety compliance and budget & financial management.
Key tasks will include: Overseeing the centre operations, creating a unique visitor focused environment. Leading and empower a team of staff to deliver exceptional service, ensuring adherence toquality standards whilst thinking ahead to ensure your team have a development journey. Bringing the team together to foster a positive environment for the animals in our care andstaff, volunteers and visitors. Working closely with our reception, maintenance, fundraising and animal welfare staff,maintaining high levels of communication, stock supply and response. Overseeing the successful delivery of the team's daily service and planned maintenanceroutines, including Health & Safety Compliance. Ensuring compliance and health & safety regulations are carried out across the centre, whilstcaring for employee and visitor welfare at all times. Oversee and improve operational processes to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.Such as identifying bottlenecks, streamlining procedures, optimising resource allocation, andimplementing quality control measures. Monitor and control costs associated with operations, including staff, materials, equipment,and overhead expenses, aiming for cost efficiency without compromising quality andperformance. As a member of the senior management team, you will also have duty managerresponsibilities including key holder duties.
Who we are looking for...You will be passionate about animals and animal welfare, motivated, flexible with a can-do attitude. Youll bring operations expertise with proven experience in an operations management. Be well organised and efficient, able to work and perform under pressure. Excellent communication and leadership skills, comfortable dealing with Staff, animals andguests alike. Commercial awareness and understanding of budgets, profitability and improved ways ofworking. Ability to identify training needs. You'll be effectively coaching and training all levelsensuring our teams are delivering a first-class customer experience and safe centreenvironment. Adaptability. You'll act quickly and enthusiastically to changing priorities, workload and newregulations or requirements. Positivity, managing change, you'll lead the team with confidence and kindness.
