Main Purpose of our Progress Facilitators in the Construction department:

  • To play a pivotal role in advancing the success of the Electrical and Construction Division, with a particular focus on fostering exceptional student achievements in both Vocational Electrical and Construction subjects and subsequent career pathways.
  • Working closely with the Construction Team Leader you will enhance support for apprentices in mastering the knowledge, skills, and behaviours mandated by apprentices.
  • Travelling across the North West to some of our 130 Electrical apprentices, you will coach and facilitate skills support ensuring successful completion of apprenticeships.

Key responsibilities for Progress Facilitators in the Construction department:

  • To identify and execute tailored support strategies for learners, fostering transparent communication with learners, subject teachers, parents, guardians, and employers.
  • Planning, delivering, and evaluating underpinning knowledge and work-based learning, tracking overall progress for each apprentice
  • Providing coaching and facilitating skills support to ensure successful completion of End-Point Assessment (EPA).
  • Managing an assigned caseload and ensuring performance targets are achieved.
  • Offering pastoral support to apprentices, advising on matters like mitigating circumstances and extensions.
  • Vigorously monitoring and supporting learner progress through thorough analysis of tracking data and the implementation and review of targeted action plans.

To be successful as a Progress Facilitator with our Construction Work Based Learning team you will need:

  • Experience of working within the Construction industry or with Construction apprentices
  • Knowledge of current issues in apprenticeships, especially in Construction, is vital.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with employers and apprentices is essential.
  • Full driving licence with the willingness and ability to travel across the North West
