The Merchandiser role in Outlets is a great opportunity to set and lead the individual BU product strategies laddering up to the wider Outlet 3-year Strategy and ambitious growth plan. This is a progressive and broadening role that will expand your experience and knowledge of the wider Clothing and Home and Business areas, range and assortment planning, sourcing, buying and trading.

Your key accountabilities will include...

Working with the Head of Outlets and Leadership team to develop the Outlet Strategy. Working with your team to create the Outlets/Department plans and Product Strategies that will create and deliver Outlet Sales, Stock, GSM, market share and option count Accountable for overall analysis of mainchain best sellers to curate a market leading product proposition that delivers on customer needs, sales and profit. Accountable for planning Outlets/Department ranges in accordance with the Critical Path and Planning Calendar, working with you team to determine the products offered in each quarter and creating a range framework Delivering sign-off including lessons learnt and financial plans. Analysing commercial information as required for strategic and product planning meetings, leveraging sales analysis, and supporting team to react to trade and make commercial decisions. Taking accountability for departmental documentation and merchandising systems Supporting Outlet Retail manager and store colleagues to react to trade and customer feedback Working with Sourcing offices to manage product critical paths from but to instore delivery, managing Supplier capacity and production planning to achieve target store launch dates. Working with the Space Planning and Development team to ensure commercially driven layouts are created, maximizing sales opportunity for all the department(s) Leading a motivated team to implement and adopt "one best way" processes consistently across the total Outlet team. Your skills and experience will include...

Strong Merchandising skills including developing a strategy and operating plan, production planning, stock and commitment management, GSM management, creating sales estimates Strong Knowledge of the end to end buy to store process Formulating and delivering a detailed plan from curating a compelling market leading product proposition through to sales floor. Controlling unplanned in-season costs Negotiation skills (costings on re-bought product) Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills (of both internal and external stakeholders) Everyone's welcome
