About the team

As an Associate Director [FX] in Worldpay's Go-to-Market Team, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's global growth by commercialising strategic initiatives such as our international Currency Conversion offering. You will work at the intersection of technical expertise and commercial acumen to enable Worldpay's sales teams to effectively monetize new products in new markets. This position requires a strong understanding of the payment industry and regional nuances. You will be responsible for the commercialisation of running strategic initiatives, identifying new growth opportunities, and the support of successful product launches in various international locations.

You will work with high autonomy but also collaboratively - working with cross-functional teams across the organisation. You will report to the Sr. Director Enterprise Commercialisation but also work closely with our Commercial and Product leads.

What you will be doing

Sales Enablement:

  • Enable the sales team to effectively sell Worldpay FX products globally by providing technical expertise and support.

  • Develop sales collateral, training materials, and product documentation tailored to specific international markets and customer segments.

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate the sales team on new products, features, and market-specific considerations.

Relationship Management:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and partners in target countries.

  • Collaborate with the Worldpay Partnership Team to identify and secure strategic partnerships for international expansion.

  • Represent Worldpay at industry conferences, events, and meetings to promote the company's global presence

International Market Analysis:

  • Identify market trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of potential new markets for Worldpay's products and services.

  • Evaluate market readiness and potential demand for Worldpay's offerings in each target country.

Expansion Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute expansion plans for launching new products and increasing penetration in Worldpay's existing book.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, marketing, and sales, to ensure a smooth expansion process.

Technical Product Support:

  • Collaborate with product development teams to identify and prioritize product features and enhancements.

  • Assess technical requirements and feasibility of launching Worldpay's products in new markets/customer segments.

  • Work closely with the product team to define technical roadmaps and ensure open communication channels to keep sales teams updated.

What you bring:

  • Proven experience (4+ years) in a similar role, preferably in the payment industry

  • Motivated, organised and self-starting

  • Strong influencing skills: able to drive change in the organisation

  • Bachelorâs degree in business administration, finance, computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

  • Strong analytical skills, able to build targeting criteria and collaborate with sales to develop a pipeline

  • Strong understanding of the global payments landscape.

  • Technical proficiency and ability to understand complex technical concepts and product functionalities.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical and commercial considerations when making strategic decisions.

  • Experience in conducting market research, competitor analysis, and evaluating new market opportunities.

  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and results-driven approach.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment.

What we offer you

  • A competitive salary and benefits

  • A variety of career development tools, resources and opportunities

  • The chance to work on some of the most challenging, relevant issues in the payment industry

  • Time to support charities and give back in your community
