Job Description

Job Type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Location: This role could be based in either our Wythall, Telford, or Edinburgh offices with time spent working in the office and at home.

We're currently recruiting for an Actuarial Reporting Technician to join our ESG team to execute specific and regular Actuarial processes.

The role

This opportunity offers abundant opportunities for growth and autonomy, This is because you will be working on a split of business as usual (BAU) and project work. On a day to day business you will be responsible for providing input into the development of financial processes to ensure the production of the required outputs is in an efficient manner as possible. You will also undertake project work to support the development of robust and effective financial reporting, whilst identifyinh opportunities for continuous improvement.

This is a great opportunity to support the Senior Actuarial Technicians, Actuaries and other senior managers in their objective of meeting business and regulatory requirement, including communication of Actuarial results and analysis. This might involve accurately producing a wide range of calculations used within the business; modelling, pricing, analysing propositional and a range of business data to make recommendations subject to review by a Senior Actuarial Technician or Actuary.

What are we looking for?

The Ideal Candidate will be proactive, with a curiosity and eagerness to learn. Good Interpersonal skills will be a great skill for this role, as is the ability to Balancing competing priorities on different pieces of work in challenging timescales. Good Planning skills and being able to adapt to the requirements of different types of work will also be beneficial for this role.

Knowledge and appreciation of any computer programming like VBA, R or Python will be an added advantage.
