Accounts Assistant

To ensure the effective and efficient accounting activities for Kent Central Ambulance Service (KCAS). To lead by example in ensuring consistency of quality in the transportation of patients under the company ethos of Safety, Comfort and Care.
Responsibilities:
Reporting direct to the Accounts Manager, the Accounts Assistant will ensure the organisation's accounting functions are adequately supported to:
* Data entry of key information - 50% of role.
* Supporting the Account Manager with general Accounts duties.
* Ad Hoc duties as required to support the Accounts team.
* Work with the Management team to meet agreed goals and objectives.
* Provide specialist support and advice in areas that are specific to individual's scope of experience and qualifications, as requested by the Board.
* Proactively uses decision-making processes to ensure that full and complete consideration has been given to all options during the process. COMMUNICATIONS
* Uphold the values of the organisation, acting as an appropriate role model and ensuring that you promote equality and diversity for all our patients, staff and other stakeholders.
* Provide support and guidance in areas of particular expertise and knowledge.
* Participate fully in the work of the organisation and, where appropriate, with the wider health and social care community. COMPLIANCE
* Ensure the organisation complies with its legal and regulatory requirements in relation to managing the Accounts function for the organisation.
* Assess the quality and the integrity of HR information, analysing data as appropriate to ensure the continuing success of the organisation. MISCELLANEOUS
* Uphold the highest standards of integrity and probity, adhering to and being fully compliant of Accounts matters.
* Safeguard the good name of the organisation.
* Work with the CQC Compliance Manager in ensuring the regulatory responsibilities relating to Finance matters are met. * Comply at all times with the organisations published Policies and Procedure
Minimum of 1 years' experience of working in an Accounting-based role. Experience of working in a client driven organisation Good communicator and problem solving skills with strong time management ability Application of common-sense approach NVQ3 or Intermediate level AAT
Working conditions Criteria Description Physical Standard keyboard skills required. The role does not require a high level of physical effort; however, he/she may be stationed at a computer for prolonged lengths of time. Emotional The post holder must be able to work successfully under pressure. Working Conditions Desk based Role Mental Concentration required for effectively multi-tasking, analysing data.
