Join us as a Private Financing Transaction Support Director

  • We’ll look to you to lead the operational risk management of our Repo & Risk Transformation and Firm Financing business lines within our Private Financing franchise, focusing on both new and existing transactions
  • You’ll be managing existing and forward-looking resources, as well as using your creative thinking skills in the design of new processes, optimisation of existing processes, and automation of MI

    As a Private Financing Transaction Support Director, you’ll be working with Private Financing Trading to control and improve the operational risk management of the Repo & Risk Transformation and Firm Financing business lines.

    Additionally, you’ll be:

    • Understanding the risk run by the desk and acting as a primary contact for transaction lifecycle management, including booking model management and recording, settlement processes, risk issues, collateral calls, liquidity reporting issues and cashflow reconciliation
    • Managing the optimisation and prioritisation of collateral in triparty sets
    • Working with Technology, Middle Office, Operations and other key stakeholders to further develop and automate the trade booking and reporting infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and working with relevant teams to resolve issues
    • Providing subject matter expert support and innovative solutions to Private Financing Trading with booking model optimisation and trade lifecycle event streamliningThe skills you'll need

      This role would be suited to someone with extensive experience, ideally in finance, with a focus on structured transactions and fixed income products, including repo, securities lending, total return swaps, short-term interest rates, FX, credit default swaps, IRS, cross-currency basis swaps, bond borrows and structured notes.

      On top of this, you’ll bring an excellent academic background, or equivalent, ideally in a highly quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Finance or Financial Economics or Computing.

      You’ll also need:

      • Quantitative, analytical and modelling skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel or VBA, and Python or programming proficiency
      • Proficiency in bank liquidity and capital metrics, asset and liability management, bank capital and RWA utilisation
      • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
      • The ability to multi-task and to work well under pressure
