This role will provide strategic leadership, overseeing the development and management of digital products and services, supporting the delivery of the University’s overarching digital strategy, and driving its execution to achieve business objectives. It requires experience in digital technologies, user experience, and product management principles.

Product strategy, planning, development, and management:

  • Develop and drive the organisation's digital product strategy
  • Collaborate with executive stakeholders
  • Provide strategic guidance
  • Use data-driven approaches and market insights to inform decisions
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the end-to-end product development lifecycle
  • Operational planning and delivery
  • Follow university procurement guidance and protocols
  • Budget accountability and management of the digital spend
  • Target-setting and campaign reporting
  • Lead the process to define and communicate product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Implement best practices in Scrum agile methodologies and quality assurance processes
  • Conduct thorough product reviews and testing
  • Consistently monitor website analytics and user behaviour
  • Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies and plans
  • Implement SEO strategies and best practices to improve online visibility

Leadership and stakeholder management:

  • Collaborate with executive leadership and senior stakeholders
  • Present product strategies, initiatives, and outcomes
  • Provide leadership and manage cross-functional teams, promoting collaboration and interaction across teams
  • Liaise with staff across the University, at all levels, building and maintaining relationships
  • Develop and enhance relationships with agency suppliers
  • Review and maintain policies for use of Marketing and Communications managed platforms and websites.

CRM (Customer Relationship Management):

  • Oversee the implementation and management of our CRM system
  • Develop and implement CRM strategies
  • Collaborate with student recruitment and marketing teams to leverage CRM data
  • Analyse CRM data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities

 

CMS (Content Management System):

  • Provide strategic guidance, oversight, and governance for the organisation's CMS platform
  • Collaborate with content creators and stakeholders
  • Manage the product lifecycle

Mailing platform:

  • Provide strategic guidance, oversight, and governance for the organisation's mailing platform
  • Monitor and analyse email campaign metrics

Chatbot / Live chat:

  • Evaluate the organisation's chatbot needs
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define chatbot functionalities
  • Analyse chatbot interactions and user feedback
  • Integrate the chatbot with other systems and

Digital Design:

  • Provide strategic leadership and
  • Collaborate with designers and UX/UI teams
  • Review and provide strategic feedback
  • Ensure designs adhere to brand guidelines and standards

 Support marketing campaigns:

  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to support digital marketing campaigns
  • Provide strategic input and insights
  • Advise marketing teams on effective digital marketing techniques
  • Analyse marketing campaign data and metrics
  • Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking
  • Provide guidance on selecting and implementing appropriate marketing technology tools
  • Act as a liaison between the product and marketing teams
