Alecto recruitment are currently recruiting for a Piling Rig Engineer on behalf of our client, A leading company in construction and ground engineering. As a Piling Rig Fitter and Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the optimal performance of piling rigs and associated equipment.

Due to their continued growth and increase demand they are looking for a Piling Rig Engineer to join their team and carry out day to day duties such as:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on piling rigs and associated equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on piling rigs.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks and ensure all safety and operational standards are met.
  • Collaborate with site management and operators to identify and address any equipment issues promptly.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent.
  • Assist in the setup and dismantling of piling rigs on various project sites.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in piling rig technology and maintenance practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Piling Rig Fitter, Engineer, Heavy Plant or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems used in piling rigs.
  • Relevant technical certification or qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to safety and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the job.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
  • Level 2/3 Qualified in Heavy Plant
