Client Details

Our client is a British universal bank providing support on retail banking, credit cards, corporate and investment banking and wealth management. They are looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel / Payments Lawyer to support their in-house function.

Description

The purpose of this role is to assess the effectiveness and integrity of the business' internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of their operational, financial and reputational risk. As Senior Legal Counsel, you can expect to:

  • advise key stakeholders on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment
  • manage and mitigate risks
  • demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in realtion to the work your team does

Profile

The successful Senior Legal Counsel will be 6 years+ qualified with:

  • experience in payments regulation
  • experience with relevant financial services products and applicable regulations
  • strong commercial focus and understanding of the management of risk

Job Offer

Competitive salary up to £95k plus bonus and pension.

Hyrbid working from office in Manchester.
