Welfare and Income Assistant
Salary: GBP28,673.00
Hours: 35 hours per week
Hybrid working (4 days a month in the office)
Interview dates: 13 & 14 June

What you will achieve in the role
You'll support the team with being the first point of contact for residents assisting with money management, financial support, budgeting skills and repayment plans, as well as signposting for our vulnerable residents. This role includes joint home visits with our Income Team, around Croydon, Sutton and Bromley. You will report to our Senior Income Officer and work closely with our Welfare and Benefit Advisor.
What you'll bring to ccha
Experience in the housing sector is desirable but we welcome applicants with transferable skills. You'll be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer standards, service delivery, equality and diversity.
Essential skills required:
- Proven experience of working with vulnerable people
- Excellent communication skills
- Emotionally resilient
- Understanding of the Benefit System
Essential requirements:
- DBS check
Desirable requirements:
- Knowledge of debt advice, budgeting and tenancy sustainment assistance.
- Clean driving license
