The role of Director, Global Commercial Communications is a senior role in the Global Communications & Corporate Affairs team and is part of the Global Senior Leadership Team. The primary purpose of the role is to design, develop and implement the communications strategy for the Global Commercial function of Mundipharma both internally and externally. In addition, in conjunction with the VP, Communications & Corporate Affairs, the post holder will provide guidance and support to the Communications & Corporate Affairs team. This role will also represent the Communications & Corporate Affairs team in various Functional Leadership Team Meetings and discussions as required.

Role and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Global Chief Commercial Officer to devise communication strategies that align with the objectives of the Global Commercial function, the Mundipharma core values and behaviors, and the overall business strategy, ensuring that patient-centricity is at the forefront of all communication initiatives.
  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies tailored to support key business priorities within the Global Commercial function. Ensure that employees are well-informed and engaged on commercial/product milestones, regulatory updates, and portfolio strategies. Emphasize the importance of these milestones for employees, customers, and ultimately, the patients they serve.
  • Working with the VP, Communications & Corporate Affairs, manage external communication initiatives and change programmes (as required) for the Global Commercial function. Manage the reputation of the organization by ensuring that all external communications are compliant and aligned with company values. Manage all PR agency relationships.
  • Lead the development and implementation of communication strategies and plans for product introductions and regulatory milestones. Ensure that these initiatives are effectively communicated both internally and externally, highlighting their significance for stakeholders and the broader healthcare community.
  • Working with the VP, Communications & Corporate Affairs, sever as a primary point of contact for all media inquiries for the organization globally (working cross-functionally as required) to develop responses promptly and professionally to media requests. Provide in country media relations support as required.

  • Experience leading a communications team Extensive issues and crisis management experience.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, global matrix organizations with cultural awareness and global mindset.
  • Extensive regional and/or global media relations experience.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing needs and priorities.
  • Inclusive, collaborative, and comfortable operating at senior levels.
  • Pharmaceutical experience preferred.
  • Understanding of the regulatory and commercial environments for pharma.
  • Broad Communications leadership expertise.
  • Has worked cross-functionally.
  • Regional and/or global communications experience.
