The Genome Damage and Stability Centre (GDSC) is a department of the School of Life Sciences and a University of Sussex Centre of Excellence. Drawing on world-leading experts and a critical mass of knowledge, the GDSC pursues its mission to understand and exploit the molecular mechanisms underpinning genome integrity.

We are looking to appoint a Lecturer B in Genome Stability (Education and Scholarship). In this role, you will be a key member of the teaching team, designing and delivering high quality teaching across our degrees. The successful candidate will be committed to the delivery of high-quality teaching related to Genome Stability and the broad areas of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, and Translational Biomedicine.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or related discipline. A strong motivation to educate and inspire students on core Molecular Biology and Biomedicine topics using a variety of teaching and assessment approaches is essential. You will have a rigorous, enthusiastic and collegiate approach to all aspects of student education, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to use technology effectively and innovatively.
