Are you looking to advance your career in a supportive and dynamic environment? Sheridan Maine is seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join a Surrey-based practice. Our client believes in nurturing growth and development, ensuring every team member feels valued and part of the family.
 
You will be part of a small, client-focused team dedicated to delivering top-notch compliance work for a diverse portfolio of clients.  Responsibilities will include:
  • Daily, weekly or monthly bookkeeping
  • Maintaining client records
  • Monthly reporting and management accounts
  • VAT returns
  • Statutory Accounts
  • Corporation Tax
  • Payroll
  • Personal Tax
  • Company Secretarial
  • Responding to queries
  • Assisting with other projects as required
 
To be considered for the role of Finance Assistant, you will require:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a practice environment.
  • Studying for AAT qualifications with a keen interest in completing your ACA/ACCA qualification via a level 7 apprenticeship.
  • Proficiency in Xero software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
