Locum - Supervising Social Worker
Our company is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled locum Supervising Social Worker to cover a minimum 4 month period. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload across North Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality services to children and young people
- Support foster parents in delivering quality care
- Manage a small caseload and provide guidance and support when necessary
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call service to provide wrap-around support to foster carers
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Fostering service
Requirements
- Hold a relevant professional qualification in Social Work
- Be a registered social worker in Wales or open to being registered (fee covered by the company)
- Have experience in fostering related social work role and/or child social care, such as a looked after children's team
- Have a good knowledge of fostering regulations, childcare law, and safeguarding issues
- Be able to make objective professional assessments of children and young people
- Have access to a car and a valid driving licence
Desirable Skills
- Speak Welsh, though not essential
