Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive actions to continuously improve key performance indicators
  • Visible and active leader, promoting a working environment to achieve commitment and excellence in EHS, quality, customer service, engineering and productivity,
  • Provide leadership with awareness of employee needs at all levels of the site, ensuring employees are engaged and tied to the overall business strategy.
  • Leverage data and analytics (6-sigma, Lean management techniques, and fastworks) to approach problem solving.
  • Partner with site functional leaders to drive team collaboration and a cohesive site identity.
  • Partner with the global product line and commercial teams to coordinate priorities to ensure delivery of broader business objectives.
  • Coordinate preparation and communication of monthly site operational results to the product line and business leaders.
  • Own Capital Expenditure to get to necessary capacity and capabilities to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Build and apply talent development plans, engage and retain hi-potential talent, and manage performance and career of both salaried and hourly employees.
  • Establish strong connections with the workforce and lead with compliant behavior and processes across the site.
  • Drive awareness and compliance with all government, customer and applicable policies, procedures, rules, and regulations

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Experience in design to spec transformers mandatory (not necessarily HVDC â not standardized products)
  • Site leadership experience (manufacturing and engineering management preferably) with team management of over 100 employees
  • Lean experience
  • Bachelorâs degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience from a comparable position
