The Role

A role has arisen in our tax function for a Tax Associate to assist with tax compliance across a range of taxes, with primary focus on VAT and other indirect tax filings. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to experience working in the tax function of a truly international organisation, gaining greater experience of tax, with opportunities to build knowledge and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with the VAT manager to deliver all indirect tax returns (200+ filings per year)
Preparation of the group's VAT returns Preparation of OSS returns Preparation of other indirect tax filings (Intrastat, EC Sales list etc.) Supporting with historic reviews and forensic investigation of past tax filings Working with colleagues across areas such as Accounts payable to improve underlying processes Monitoring and maintaining of deadlines for tax returns and tax payments. Reviewing VAT classification for new products and attributing VAT coding based on technical research Maintaining balance sheet processes for tax related accounts Analysis of spend and categorisation of spend for corporate tax purposes Assistance with other corporate tax compliance projects Location: Based in Nuneaton, this role operates under a hybrid model with 2 days a week on-site, supporting flexibility and productivity.

The Person

Role would suit an individual who has previous experience of VAT compliance Although a tax qualification is not a specific requirement, the individual should have some form of recognised qualification for example AAT, ACCA or relevant higher education qualifications Strong IT skills, in particular in excel, data manipulation, and data interrogation Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Proactive and self motivated. Interest in process and process improvement What we offer
