Position Summary:

The Facilities and Cleanroom Operative works as part of a team overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our Bristol site. This will include goods in duties, security, cleaning, minor repairs, routine maintenance and overseeing pre-planned maintenance programmes.

The post holder will work closely with all departments to ensure that the management of the building and health and safety is satisfactory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• To maintain consistent and documented compliance with all relevant Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP quality and best practice requirements.

• Embed and promote the EPIC values in all areas of work, maintaining the company’s culture, ethics, and people engagement.

• To be aware of COSHH & Risk Assessments required for cleaning activities.

• To perform a variety of cleaning and hygiene tasks as detailed within the cleaning procedures.

• To follow weekly and monthly cleaning schedules, ensuring cleaning consumables and resource are available to maintain and clean the GMP suites pre, post and during manufactures.

• To ensure that correct equipment and materials are available to support cleaning activities at all times preventing any delays.

• To ensure that waste material is correctly disposed of in accordance with company procedures.

• To report to the any issues that may impact upon the integrity of the clean or the areas.

• To participate in the management of the cleaning consumables & replenishment activities.

• To ensure clean room consumable, gowning garment are replenished regularly ensuring no interruption to the manufacturing activities within the clean room suites.

• To complete any other tasks deemed suitable to support the GMP Operations team.

• Good Manufacturing Practice is the part of Quality Management which ensures that products are. consistently produced to the correct quality standards. To comply with the principles of GMP, it is required that clearly defined procedures are adhered to when performing operations across Bio-Techne.

• To ensure that facilities related activities are undertaken in accordance with the company Quality Management System.

General Responsibilities

• To maintain the appearance of the site, checking the premises regularly, recording and undertaking necessary repairs and share responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance of the site, including supervising repairs with contractors.

• Undertake daily, weekly, and monthly routine checks, maintaining records as required.

Maintenance

• Ensure the plant room, storage areas and equipment are cleaned and maintained in accordance with the relevant specification, reporting faults as necessary.

• Engage with service providers and assist in the monitoring, performance and compliance of sub-contract services provided.

• To ensure all exterior hard surfaces are kept in a clean and tidy condition, including during the winter months, the salting/de-icing of hard surface areas and moving of snow to ensure access to the site.

• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are always adhered to, such as Building inductions.

• Take a proactive approach in the identification of opportunities for service improvement across the Property.

• To set out furniture, tables, desks etc as required by the site.

• To carry out porterage duties as and when required.

• Take an active role in building maintenance.

Stock control

• To process deliveries and distribute across the site.

• Supplies are maintained to meet the needs of the site.

• Carry out quarterly stock takes.

Security

• To act as a keyholder for the site including locking/unlocking and to be part of the on-call rota to ensure that the security of the premises in the event of any alarms or incidents where necessary.

Cleanroom

• Supporting the GMP clean room and manufacturing areas across the site.

• Participate in the end-of-run batch cleaning, monthly and weekly cleaning and any out of hours ad-hoc cleaning activities.

• Ensuring cleaning activities are carried out to a high-level

• Working to the GMP Operations and Manufacturing teams schedules and requirements.

• The GMP Operator will ensure GMP cleaning, component preparation and manufacturing support activities, are carried out to a high standard. This role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness of GMP facility and ensuring the manufacturing schedules are achieved. Good documentation practice is essential ensuring logbook and GMP documentation is completed to a high compliant standard.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications

• Organised team player capable of handling various tasks, (from general admin duties to hands-on facility management tasks).

• Experience working in a cleanroom environment and in a lab environment

• Comfortable with hands-on facility management tasks

• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and quality standards

• Working knowledge of Microsoft office, Teams and basic software packages.
