Summary

As our Castle Donington Distribution Centre continues to undergo its transformation, ensuring the safety of all Colleagues and visitors to site remains our number one priority.

As part of our Senior Leadership Team, you'll lead the development and implementation of the Castle Donington Health and Safety Strategy, ensuring a safety through the line culture. You'll work in close collaboration with City Facilities to ensure the site is maintained and delivering leading welfare facilities to Colleagues. In addition, you'll lead the procurement and delivery of uniform and consumables across our Castle Donington and Third Party sites.

This role has various direct reports including a Facilities Manager, a Logistics Uniform & Consumables Manager and 3 HSE Specialists.

What you'll do

  • Implement our Safety through Trust Health and Safety Strategy for Castle Donington
  • Lead the Health and Safety agenda across Operations, Engineering and in-house service providers ensuring legal compliance to relevant legislation
  • Maintain accreditation against relevant Internal and External audit standards
  • Drive the delivery of Year-on-Year improvements in Lost Time Accident Frequency Rates and RIDDOR Frequency Rates
  • Work in partnership with City Facilities Management on delivery of all hard facilities management across the site ensuring legal compliance to relevant legislation

Who you are

We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional with a NEBOSH National Diploma (or equivalent). You'll be a confident communicator, comfortable in liaising with a multitude of stakeholders. Ideally, you'll have experience in contract management, including Catering, Cleaning and Security, as well as an understanding of our Net Zero ambition as this role will develop Castle Donington's improvement plan in this space.

You'll have a continuous improvement mindset, always looking for improvements to drive sustainable change.
