Teacher of Business Studies and Economics

M1-M6 / UPS – dependent on experience 

Required for September 2024 The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School is seeking to employ a Full-time, Permanent Teacher of Business Studies and Economics


The Governors of The Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School require a highly motivated and hardworking Business Studies and Economics teacher committed to raising our students' achievements. You will join a strong specialist team with a track record of success and a passion for teaching both subjects. You will teach in designated teaching rooms with outstanding resources and be part of a large, extraordinarily successful Business Studies and Economics team. Applicants with experience in teaching A Level are particularly welcome to apply. 

  • In 2023 52 % of Business Studies GCSE pupils achieved grades 9-7 whilst 87% achieved grades 9-5.
  • In 2023 14% of Business Studies A Level students achieved grades A*-A whilst 48% achieved A*-B.
  • In 2023 90% of Business Studies Btec students achieved grades Distinction *-Distinction.
  • In 2023 32% of Economics A Level students achieved A*-A whilst 64% achieved A*-B
