Financial Controller

Ideally you will be Practice trained with a strong technical background and experience of leading an audit.
With exposure to key stakeholders across the business and working closely with the Finance Director, this is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to make a step up into an FC role.
Key responsibilities
Preparing statutory accounts and consolidating the reporting packCreating the Group quarterly reporting packPlanning for the year end audit report and quarterly reportingImplementing any accountancy policy changesManaging the statutory requirements of all overseas entitiesLiaising with external auditors and any other external advisors as requiredUnderstanding the ageing of the ledgers and ensure that there are appropriate provisions at quarter ends, working with the credit control team to reduce the ageing of the ledger and resolve any issuesTaking ownership, accountability and oversight of all balance sheet reconciliations and providing the FD with complete visibility of all current, emerging and future risks and opportunitiesManaging all areas of cash and treasury including ensuring that appropriate FX forecasts are in place, cash flow reporting and ensuring full compliance with any banking requirementsEnsuring compliance with VAT and liaise with external VAT advisors on issues for both UK and European taxesDeveloping processes and controlsManaging a small finance teamAd hoc project work
Requirements
Fully qualified Accountant, ideally ACA / ACCA / CIMAWorking knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRSFull understanding of UK corporate entity statutory requirements and UK VAT legislationExcellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non finance colleaguesStrong IT skills and experience of analysing large sets of dataAbility to lead and develop a small team
