About the Role

Tresham College, part of The Bedford College Group, is seeking an experienced and passionate Lecturer in Computing to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone dedicated to teaching students aged 16-19 within a Further Education (FE) setting, focusing on practical, interactive learning that prepares students for their next steps in education or employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, interactive lessons that engage and motivate students aged 16-19.
  • Support students in their academic progress, providing constructive feedback and additional help as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of our student body.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in a relevant subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET) with substantial experience teaching Computing in an FE college or similar setting. Candidates without a PGCE will be supported to gain the qualification.
  • A strong understanding of the Further Education sector and the ability to engage young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.

Tresham College has three main sites in Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough, each with impressive modern buildings.  Across our sites we offer a range of subjects including art & design, construction, engineering, motor vehicle, hairdressing and beauty therapy and more in support of our local communities.

About The Bedford College Group

The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
