Position Summary

The Nespresso team have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Controller to join their team. Reporting into the Finance and Control Director, you will co-pilot the operations department to ensure that the variable and fixed costs are well managed.

A day in the life of an Operations Controllerâ¦

As an Operations Controller, you will work closely with the operations team of Nespresso UKI. The team is composed of supply chain, TQM and CRC.

You will also:

  • Plan and evaluate the organization's fiscal future by managing a robust forecasting cycle and cost structures
  • Coordinate reporting of actuals (including organising and overseeing timeliness and accuracy of period-end close) and forecasts across the operations team
  • Optimize business operations to release cost saving measures and efficient cash flow. Continuously challenge and improve current setup
  • Depending on agreed priorities, play an active role in Focused Improvement and Lean Initiatives.
  • Support analysis and implementation of transversal project for customer services
  • Develop, control, and ensure robust evaluations of capital investment plans and requests including post project evaluations.
  • Analyse reasons for deviations and track corrective actions; evaluate and provide financial analysis for product sourcing changes

What will make you successful?

Prior experience in Accounting or Finance function (e.g.: Costing, Factory controlling, Accounts payable) with qualification. Ideally, you will have solid experience in the Finance function of a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company, in a commercially facing or controlling role.

You will also have:

  • Great communication skills that enable influencing at all levels of the business
  • Good team working skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with a breadth of customers and stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively with financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Good organizational and planning skills - able to work independently and prioritise workload
  • Ability to challenge effectively
  • Experience in a network organisation with cross-functional stakeholders
