Qualitair is recruiting a Tactical Inventory Specialist to join one of our Clients on a permanent basis in Gatwick

Job Purpose:
The Tactical Inventory Specialist primarily manages the return of exchange core assets from customers and
to suppliers, the induction of material into the repair cycle, and the operational positioning of inventory
across the global network for commercial programs. The position will provide proactive control of the return
of company assets from customers and assets owed to suppliers as exchange cores while complying with the
terms-and-conditions set forth by the suppliers. The Tactical Inventory Specialist will ensure the company and its
customers and suppliers are delivering to contracted targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and
obligations while ensuring effective cost control, cost reduction, and exceptional operational performance is
achieved for the business as defined within the parameters outlined by management.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure requests & work flow throughout the customer service organisation is managed in accordance with defined procedures.
- Manage & expedite of the core return process from customers
- Ensure customer core returns throughout the IOC are managed in accordance with defined priorities.
- Resolve supplier core return backlog within IMOPS, ensuring delays are kept to a minimum
- Pro-actively engage with the allocated Key Account Managers (KAMs) to ensure implementation of all contractual requirements to guarantee customer satisfaction and contract performance.
- Identify potential problems and risks, evaluating and anticipating implications and being proactive with all concerned parties in developing and defining contingency/recovery plans and actions.
- Explore potential market source for new suppliers that could improve effectiveness & increase profitability
- Co-ordinate with the KAMs and Inventory Planning team to regularly review open core returns and report on the status of fulfilment.
- Induct assets into repair cycle based on recommendations from Inventory Planning and Operational Team and as directed by Sourcing Team.
- Co-ordinate the movement of assets between global pool locations based on recommendations from Inventory Planning and Operational Team while keeping freight spend to a minimum.
- Regularly interact with the KAMs and centralised service functions based in company HQ including but not limited to: Repair Cycle Management, Finance, Inventory Management, Traffic/ Logistics, Quality, I.T, Commercial and HR to promote ownership and a cohesiveculture within the group.
- Ensure that events raised against the Operational team are reviewed daily, actioned accordingly and approved in a timely fashion so as not to disrupt the invoice clearance process, avoiding accounts being put on hold which would disrupt the supply of components.
- Establish and maintain a high quality of service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Respond to customer's and supplier's questions quickly and efficiently, building key relationships.
- Report all information collected about issues, complaints, customer internal changes, best contact/interlocutor, fleet evolution to the Senior Operations Manager and the Senior Operations Director.
- In conjunction with the Senior Operations Manager, develop and lead continuous improvement initiatives for operations and order management.
- Carry out miscellaneous job-related duties as deemed necessary by the Senior Operations Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor Degree in Aviation (or related field) or equivalent experience desirable
- A broad knowledge and understanding of an airline operating business
environment including Technical Services, Operations and Customer
Services.
- Proven managerial/leadership experience
- Inventory Management systems experience
- Highly Adaptable, able to implement new instruction on short notice
- Excellent communication and Analytical skills
- Detail orientated with a high level of accuracy
- Advanced computer proficiency: Microsoft Office - Word/Excel/Outlook
and easily able to adapt to company specific internal IT-system(s)
