We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Controller within the Project Controls team. There are a number of positions available under this role based at key locations across the project; Birmingham, Coleshill, Coventry, Kingsbury and Lichfield

Role description:

To be proactive and assist in implementing the HS2 projects Project Control Procedures and ensuring compliance with the business management systems
The role requires the individual to operate as part of a team and interface inwardly (Delivery Team) and outwardly (Client & Enabling Team)
To establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers, senior management, partners and delivery teams.Experienced required:

Experience of project control requirements within the construction and engineering industry
Understanding of various methods of project controls, planning and performance reporting as well as an understanding of contract documents and take-offs
Experience in risk and opportunity management
Understanding of the events that initiate, and of the methods used to demonstrate, delay or change entitlement
An understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment, and labour requirements
Experience in Earned Value management and PRISM.Please note candidates will need to have a current valid right to work in the UK to be considered for this role

We started working together over 30 years ago to deliver the Channel Tunnel, as members of the TransManche Link consortium. In the Midlands, it is Balfour Beatty VINCI’s role to design and build the route, ready for tracks and signalling to be installed. Our work with HS2 Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and then on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Overall, we will be building the following across all our sites:

• 9.3km of viaducts

• 62 overbridges

• 35 cuttings

• 56 culverts

• 62 embankments

• 2 twin bore tunnels and 2 cut and cover tunnels

• 28 underbridges and 11 underpasses
