We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Partnership Manager, in our Business Area Wind. The position is a permanent fulltime position.
The unit Partnerships and Business Transformation in Business Area Wind (BA Wind) is responsible for building strategic partnerships with industrial players to jointly tackle the challenges and opportunities of decarbonisation, green hydrogen and the electrification of industrial processes. Relevant industries include Chemicals, Industrial Gases, Refineries, Steel and Transport. Based on a clear understanding of market dynamics we create and develop leads with promising industrial partners â in close collaboration with our Business Units Offshore and Onshore Wind as well as Solar & Batteries. Industrial partnerships are a strategic focus area of Vattenfallâs BA Wind.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Partnership Manager
- Identify needs and opportunities for industrial partnerships across our BA Wind portfolio
- Explore opportunities with potential partners and develop promising leads, closely working with numerous internal and external stakeholders
- Negotiate partnership agreements with promising leads to MoU stage and beyond
- Develop and maintain a close liaison with our Business Units on individual wind and solar projects and with Business Area Markets on power purchase agreements (PPAs) with industrial off-takers
- Manage existing industry partnerships of BA Wind
- Contribute with your commercial expertise and market insights to continuously improving our knowledge of the market dynamics in key industries and put it to use for the benefit of BA Wind
- Prepare progress reports and decision proposals for senior management on the development of new partnerships and management of existing partnerships
- Be part of an entrepreneurial team, drive cultural change in Vattenfall
Qualifications
Your Profile as a Senior Partnerships Manager
Are you triggered by renewable energy? Do you think renewable electricity is excellent to decarbonize mobility, heat and industry processes? Do you believe the traditional business models of utilities will need major adjustments to stay future-proof? Perfect We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to exactly those questions.
Within BA Wind we value your communication skills as much as your hard skills. We are looking for a good communicator who is able to listen, bring a message across clearly, retrieve the information needed and has the ability to adapt to her/his audience. In addition you should have:
- University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science, Economics or similar
- Minimum 5 years working experience from commercial or business development roles preferably in an energy-intensive industry (Chemicals, Refineries, Industrial Gases, Steel, Transport etc.), energy company or strategy consulting
- Experience in designing and managing projects and leading complex negotiations
- Business- or product development experience beneficial
- Self-driven and pragmatic personality, performance oriented with ability to prioritize
- Entrepreneurial character with the ambition to bring business opportunities to life and realize the best deal for Vattenfall
- Cooperative with strong team building and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
