We are seeking twoexperienced, hands-on Facilities and Maintenance Managers to joinour team. With 30 sports and leisure locations across Edinburgh,including 13 swimming pools, your leadership will ensure thehighest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance. You will beresponsible for:
  • Managing anddeveloping a team of trades and technical staff, ensuring deliveryof maintenance service, conducting performance appraisals, andsupporting professional development. Overseeing all plannedand reactive maintenance activities. Ensuring they are scheduledand completed in line with current legislation andguidelines.
  • Planning and managing resources, procuring,and managing external contractor services to meet the needs of thebusiness.
  • Communicating the objectives and plans tovarious stakeholders, including trades contractors, partssuppliers, utility providers, and externalauditors.
  • Working closely with Senior Management,Health & Safety, Project teams, Learning & Development,Procurement, Maintenance Team and Mobile Pool Plant Team.
Our idealcandidate will have:
  • HND orequivalent level in a technical/construction field, preferably witha management element (additional experience required if nomanagement element). An in-depth understandingof the Construction Design & Management Regulations 2015(CDM).
  • Demonstratable experience leading amulti-trade maintenance team, planning and resourcing maintenanceactivities and procuring and managingcontractors.
  • Extensive experience in operating inaccordance with H&S policies, including conducting riskassessments and ensuring legislative compliance.
  • Exceptional organisational, interpersonal,communication, delegation, and leadership skills.
  • The ability to engage and connect with a widerange of stakeholders.
