Salary: £63,900+ depending on skills & experience + Car Allowance

What you'll be doing:

  • You will be responsible for the coordination, development and support to New Business opportunities at customer locations, specifically related to their Estate, Infrastructure and Facilities, when related to BAE Systems products, services and capability.
  • Leading the construction management teams in the design, delivery, acceptance, handover and contract close out of Infrastructure projects, at customer locations, in conjunction with contract award, deployed delivery requirements and customer objectives.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that the Main contractors, are monitored against their compliance with Construction, Design and Management (CDM) 2015 regulations and all relevant SHE regulations and good practice, to ensure an acceptable SHE culture and working environment is maintained when delivering or supporting project work.
  • Overseeing the development of the necessary strategic relationship with both the MoD Defence Infrastructure Organisation and the Air Command Infrastructure Groups, with the development of a mutual strategy, for more integrated and collaborative working in the future for infrastructure and construction related workload.
  • Providing support to AIR Business Development and AIR Lines of Business in the development and delivery of New Business & Bid proposals for future emergent Infrastructure projects, to customers in both the UK and Overseas
  • Developing and maintaining key stakeholder engagement with the UK MoD in respect of current and future on-base infrastructure requirements

Your skills and experiences:

  • Degree or HNC/D qualified in Construction or Building Services is ideal, however other disciplines and experience within the Built Environment may be considered
  • Relevant qualifications or significant experience in managing contractor activities and ensuring construction Health & Safety (NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH, specific safety topic training)
  • Experience within construction Project Management and having a project delivery background
  • Extensive team management experience
  • Exceptional Senior Stakeholder management experience

The Customer Infrastructure & Facilities Services Team:

As a Delivery & Strategy Manager, working in the Customer Infrastructure & Facilities Services team, you will act as a client-side manager to ensure successful delivery of; a) collation of new business support for infrastructure and capability insertion projects, b) the design, planning and construction of a wide range of building, facility upgrade and estates projects across the Military & Customer locations, both UK & Overseas and c) forging relationships for the future with our strategic customers in the UK MoD Infrastructure organisations.

These projects can vary and could include; key infrastructure upgrades, utilities installation, demolition, building refurbishments, new buildings and installation of plant & equipment to provide; manufacturing, training and capability insertion.

This role will provide you with a variety of work across numerous customer locations across the whole lifecycle of an infrastructure project, from inception to handover. This role could involve occasional travel within the UK & Overseas, as the company sales & support opportunities arise.
