In this position, the Finance Officer will play a crucial role in managing the charity's financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The job sits within Group Financial Services which is responsible for all aspects of accounting for the Group. This includes the provision of financial and management accounting services, financial analysis, preparation of annual budgets, treasury, tax and VAT management
This is a full-time role, requiring 37.5 hours per week, and is based in the charity's Worcester office. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of 15.95.
Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in finance, with proven experience in a similar role. Key skills required include proficiency in financial software, excellent numerical and analytical abilities, and a keen eye for detail. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with strong organisational and time-management skills, is essential. Previous experience working within the charity sector would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite.
